Deer Tick, Anais Mitchell and Del McCoury and David Grisman are among the acts scheduled to perform at this year's Back Porch Festival, which returns March 1-4 to the Academy of Music and Parlor Room in Northampton.
Birds Of Chicago, Jeffery Foucault, Molly Tuttle and Honeysuckle are also on the bill, along with a John Hartford tribute from Courtney Hartman and Robert Ellis. The pair recently released "Dear John," an album of songs by the writer of "Gentle on My Mind."
This year's four-day version is the fifth incarnation of the festival, which local record label Signature Sounds started in 2014 as a one-day event. Signature Sounds owner Jim Olsen this year celebrates the 25th anniversary of his "Back Porch Radio" show on WRSI-FM (93.9), The River.
