Chicago singer Jenny Gillespie provides the perfect soundtrack for early autumn

Some music seems to fit certain seasons, and Jenny Gillespie’s music strikes us as the perfect sountrack as the heat of summer fades into autumn’s chill,.

The Chicago singer and songwriter blends wistful vocal harmonies with electronic elements, swirling synthesizers and the odd burst of guitar on “In the Garden,” a stirring song from her new album “Kindred.”

She self-released the album, which is the follow-up to her 2009 debut “Light Year.” Both releases are available on iTunes or through CDBaby.
