Detroit band Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor offers free download of album
There’s really nothing sunny about it: Detroit trio Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor follows in the brooding, noisy tradition of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club or Spacemen 3, with massive reverberating guitars swirling around cavernous drums and raw-edged vocals on a self-titled 8-song album the band recorded and self-released last year.
It’s a compelling collection of taut, menacing music that fairly crackles with dark tension. Scuzzy guitar powers “All You Lovers,” a deep bass line pulses through “The Lord is My Gun” and the ambient echoes that start “Spaceman Blues” build into a blend of roiling guitars and pounding drums.
The album is available here for free.
