With a new album due this week New York lo-fi rockers Your 33 Black Angels celebrate by throwing a record-release party Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Mercury Lounge in New York.

The band drew plaudits from the likes of Rolling Stone and The New York Times following the release of its first album, 2007’s “Lonely Street,” which Y33BA released on its own, first as a limited-edition vinyl item and eventually on other formats.

The new record, “Pagan Princess,” is the band’s third, following last year’s “Tales of My Pop-Rock Love Life.” “Pagan Princess” is also the first of the group’s albums to feature a video, for the song “Lovers Limbo.”

Your 33 Black Angels also performs Friday in Toronto and Saturday in Ithaca, N.Y.
