Arizona band Blackmarket returns as trio, gives away first song from new album

Most junior high school bands last just long enough for all the band members’ parents to run out of patience with the rakcet in the basement or garage.

The members of Blackmarket must have really patient parents.

The Arizona band started playing together in junior high and kept it going through tours of the U.S., Europe and Japan, and the recording of an EP and a full-length album on No Office Records.

With new album “St. Vincent Decor” due early in 2010 on Mine and Yours, the group (now a trio after the departure of guitarist Jason Brindis) offers a taste of the goods with “Tongue Twister Typo,” a raucous three-chord wonder with pounding drums and big, raw guitar.
