Swimmers dive deep with ‘A Hundred Hearts,’ first song from 2nd album

The album isn’t out until November, but Listen, Dammit, is already obsessed with “A Hundred Hearts,” the new song by Philadelphia band the Swimmers.

It’s just so catchy, from the chimey little keyboard intro to the echo vocal in the verse to the chorus that blooms like spring flowers captured with time-lapse photography.

The song comes from “People Are Soft,” the Swimmers’ sophomore album. It’s a varied affair, full of chunky guitars, breezy synthesizers and pulsing rhythms on songs with startling emotional resonance. The record is out Nov. 3 on Mad Dragon.
